Cootharaba Hereford Sale was held on Wed 14/9/11 at Duarran. On a perfect spring day 45 Hereford and Poll Herefords sold to average $5000. The top price bull, Lot 3, Cootharaba Promo - another outstanding son of Monreid P Express, was bought by the Oprhant Family from Gunalda for $12,000 for their Westbank Stud. They also paid $10,000 for Cootharaba Quambatook - sired by Cootharaba Middleton.
Second top price of $11,000 was paid by Autumnvale, Injune for a Charvel Benefit son with great growth and carcase.
Ardrossan secured the bull of their choice, paying $9000 for another super son of Cootharaba Middleton.
Many return buyers took bulls to Taroom, Goondiwindi, St George, Injune, Eidsvold and south to Wauchope.

Offspring of Cootharaba Hereford bulls continue to do well.
- At Glenwarrah Hereford sale, sons of Cootharaba Middleton
made the two top prices at $17,000 and $9000.
- At Amos Vale Hereford sale equal top priced bull was a son of Cootharaba Meteor
at $7000.
- Junior Champion Hereford Heifer at 2011 Ekka was Lotus Maritana sired by Cootharaba Ogilvie.
26/7/11 Final Weigh -in for RNA Class 37 was held at Launcells Feedlot. Galloway Cattle Co was placed in a tie for third. The pen of Hereford and Hereford Cross steers gained a creditable 2.24 kgs per day for 100 days. Here Ian and David being presented with the ribbon with RNA President Allan Warby and a representative from Performance Feeds.
Thursday 21st July was OPEN DAY 2011 at Duarran. The sale bulls - Herefords and Poll Herefords, Red & Black Brangus and Red Angus were on display, along with the show team. A delicious BBQ lunch was shared with visitors, some of whom were from as far away as Victoria.
